VERTEX FORCE release date and Japanese broadcast schedule
The official on-air page gives October 3, 2026 as the start of the television broadcast, with TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV and Tochigi TV listing Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. JST. These are Japanese station schedules. They are not release hours for every streaming platform and should not be converted into an assumed global simulcast.
Other stations use different slots. AT-X lists a Monday 11:30 p.m. start from October 5, with repeat broadcasts. Me-Tele uses Saturday late-night notation of 26:30, and ABC TV lists Wednesday 27:15 from its October 7 broadcast date. For readers unfamiliar with that notation, Japanese schedules sometimes continue counting hours beyond midnight to keep a late-night program attached to its broadcast day.
That is why copying only the weekday can create an incorrect calendar entry. A 26:30 slot falls after midnight on the next civil date. The four 23:30 Saturday listings are the simplest starting point for this guide; station-specific late-night slots should be checked against the broadcaster before arranging a recording or applying a time-zone conversion.
Where to watch VERTEX FORCE in Japan
The official streaming table has two groups. The first begins on October 3, from 11:30 p.m. JST, described as simultaneous with terrestrial television and the earliest distribution. The second starts sequentially from October 10, with a listed Saturday 00:00 starting point. “Sequentially” is important: the page does not promise that every service in the second group updates at one identical instant.
| Listed start | Services | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Oct. 3, from 23:30 JST | U-NEXT, Anime Hodai and d Anime Store, including its listed partner versions | Earliest domestic streaming group |
| From Oct. 10, 00:00 JST onward | ABEMA, AnimeFesta, DMM TV, FOD, Hulu, Lemino, Prime Video, TELASA and other listed Japanese services | Sequential distribution; check each service’s current listing |
The wider second-group list also includes J:COM STREAM, milplus, TVer, Niconico services, Bandai Channel and Flat Douga. A place in that table establishes a Japanese distribution listing. It does not, on its own, establish a free viewing tier, a permanent catalog license, an English dub, or availability on the similarly named service in another country.
For example, seeing Hulu or Prime Video on a Japanese on-air page is not enough to promise the show to a subscriber in the United States or the United Kingdom. Subscription catalogs are territorial. Before paying for access, open your local title listing and inspect both availability and language options. This article does not transfer the Japanese license to overseas catalogs.
Can you watch VERTEX FORCE for free on ABEMA?
A limited official catch-up offer covers episodes 1–3. The October 28 production announcement schedules them on October 30 at noon–1:30 p.m. JST on ABEMA Anime, and again at 7:30–9:00 p.m. JST on ABEMA Anime 3. It states that they can be watched free for one week after broadcast.
Those are two scheduled showings of the same three-episode block, rather than six different episodes. They are also separate from the series’ original October 3 launch. If you are reading after the scheduled broadcasts have finished, the useful thing to check is the resulting on-demand availability window, not a live countdown to a showing that has already happened.
The announcement supplies a one-week condition but does not give one universal closing timestamp for every ABEMA listing. Check the current expiry displayed on the platform. Do not assume that a promotional free window means every later episode is free, that the entire season remains available indefinitely, or that the offer can be accessed from every territory.
This can still be a practical way to sample the series where the offer is available. Three opening episodes provide more room than a teaser to judge the balance of family drama, action and science-fiction terminology. The viewing decision is yours; the promotion establishes access conditions, not a guarantee that the show will suit every mecha fan.

The video below is linked by the production’s official homepage. YouTube’s metadata identifies the uploader as the Aniplex channel and describes it as the project’s announcement teaser. It is an early official introduction, not a newly released episode or a trailer that announces international streaming rights.
The homepage lists additional official videos as well. We have kept the embedded video clearly labeled as a teaser so that an older announcement is not mistaken for the latest episode preview. No trailer upload date has been invented from this article’s publication date, and playback can depend on the video service and the viewer’s region.
What is VERTEX FORCE about?
The original science-fiction series follows Akira Todo, a middle-school student living in northern Okinawa with his older sister Haruka and their mother, who runs a café. Their household carries a secret: Haruka has inherited a power called an “Engine” from their father, while Akira has not. His feelings about that difference form part of the story’s starting point.
The official introduction then describes a worldwide “power down” that disrupts networks. Haruka’s forehead begins to glow red, recalling a phenomenon connected to the earlier approach of EDVA. The family setup expands into a conflict involving young people and the fate of the universe. This is the premise supplied by the production, rather than a recap of unreleased episodes.
For a new viewer, the contrast between a household secret and a large external threat is a useful entry point. You do not need to memorize the machinery before watching the opening episode. Begin with what Akira believes he lacks, how Haruka responds to her inherited responsibility, and how the disruption changes their everyday life.
Cast, studio and creative team
| Character | Voice actor |
|---|---|
| Akira Todo | Makoto Koichi |
| Haruka Todo | Kaede Hondo |
| Eleanor Northbrook | Ami Koshimizu |
| Lala Zudenstein | Megumi Han |
| Yoko Nishina | Rie Takahashi |
| Alan | Kazuki Ura |
| EDVA | Nana Mizuki |
Kazuhiro Takamura is credited as director and character designer, with series composition credited to Takamura and Masashi Suzuki. Goro Kuji is the assistant director. The official staff list credits Kanetake Ebikawa for Engine design, JNTHED for ENIA design, and SMDE for animation production.
The production describes VERTEX FORCE as an original television anime. That distinguishes it from a sequel that requires viewers to follow an earlier season, and from a manga adaptation where readers might search for a corresponding chapter. We are not assigning a manga reading order or promising an adaptation endpoint for this original project.
Viewing questions
Is October 30 the first episode’s release date?
No. October 3 is the confirmed Japanese start. October 30 is the date of the announced ABEMA episodes 1–3 catch-up broadcasts. Keeping those dates separate prevents the promotion from being mistaken for a new premiere.
Is an English dub confirmed here?
The Japanese production pages reviewed do not provide an English dub cast or launch date. The voice table above is the Japanese cast. English subtitles and English audio are separate distribution details that require their own regional confirmation.
Where should I check the next episode?
Use the official on-air page and your chosen service’s current listing. Our daily schedule and weekly schedule have their own stated regional coverage; this Japanese guide does not expand that coverage or supply unlisted episode numbers.
