Reborn as a Space Mercenary Anime: Release Date & Where to Watch
Reborn as a Space Mercenary is scheduled in AniNextUp’s Fall 2026 calendar for October 4.
When does Reborn as a Space Mercenary premiere?
Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! premieres October 4, 2026. Crunchyroll begins streaming the first episode on Sunday alongside the Japanese release, and an English dub launches the same day.
Where to watch
Crunchyroll carries the series in supported international territories. The announced distribution covers most of the world outside Japan, China, Korea and Mongolia, although catalog availability can still vary by location.
What is the anime about?
After waking in the universe of his favorite science-fiction game, Satou Takahiro takes on the identity of mercenary Hiro. Instead of a conventional fantasy isekai adventure, his new life revolves around starships, space battles, colonies and dangerous jobs across an interstellar setting.
Is there an English dub?
Yes. Crunchyroll confirmed a same-day English dub beginning October 4. Kyle Phillips voices Hiro, with Kelsey Cruz as Elma, Emily Neves as Mimi and Jaclyn Thomas as Serena.
Why it stands out in Fall 2026
The series mixes the reincarnation framework common to isekai with space-opera and game mechanics. That makes it one of the season's more unusual genre combinations for viewers looking beyond fantasy-world settings.
