When do Kagurabachi episodes 1 and 2 premiere?
Kagurabachi will hold the world premiere of its first two complete TV anime episodes on Thursday, March 25, 2027, at the Kabukiza Theatre in Ginza, Tokyo. The event concludes the production’s international anime world tour. Japanese cinemas will also host live screenings of the finale, allowing audiences beyond the Tokyo venue to see the episodes and the accompanying stage presentation.
The official announcement, dated October 12, 2026, confirms the screening date but does not yet specify the starting time, participating cinemas or ticket-sale schedule. Those details will be announced separately. The March event is an advance screening, not the start of the regular television broadcast. Read the anime’s official announcement.
What happens at the Japan world tour finale?
The Tokyo finale combines the two-episode premiere with an onstage discussion. Announced guests include Taihi Kimura, who voices Chihiro Rokuhira; Tomokazu Seki, who plays Kunishige Rokuhira; and Katsuyuki Konishi, who voices Togo Shiba. The venue is the Kabukiza Theatre, at 4-12-15 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
The expansion from an early 20-minute preview to two full episodes is the key change in this announcement. Earlier tour stops offered a glimpse of the first episode, whereas the finale will let attendees see how the adaptation opens across its first two installments. No public online simulcast of the Tokyo event has been confirmed.
Singapore, Seoul and Brazil: world tour Part 3 dates
Before the finale, three more destinations will screen the opening 20 minutes of episode 1. These are previews, not screenings of the complete two-episode premiere:
- Singapore — November 29, 2026: Anime Festival Asia at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, 4–5 p.m. Singapore time. Taihi Kimura and animation producer Kan Mizoguchi are scheduled to appear.
- Seoul — December 6, 2026: a preview and cast/staff event, with the venue and start time still unannounced. Kimura and Mizoguchi are listed as guests.
- São Paulo — December 2026: a preview at CCXP Brazil. The specific day and time have not yet been confirmed.
The distinctions matter for fans searching for premiere dates: the Singapore, Seoul and São Paulo appearances feature only part of episode 1, while the March 2027 Tokyo finale features both full episodes. See the official world tour schedule for later updates.
Is Kagurabachi still coming in April 2027?
Yes. The regular TV anime broadcast and streaming launch remain scheduled for April 2027. The production lists Crunchyroll, MUSE and SMG Holdings among its distribution partners, but this announcement does not provide an exact April premiere day, episode release times or a complete territory-by-territory streaming schedule. The March 25 screening should not be mistaken for a worldwide streaming release.
The adaptation is produced by Cypic, directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. It adapts Takeru Hokazono’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga about Chihiro Rokuhira, a young swordsman pursuing the group responsible for his father’s death and the theft of powerful enchanted blades. The production has also shared a commemorative illustration by Takeuchi marking the manga’s third anniversary; that illustration is separate from the world tour event art.

What fans should watch for next
The most important remaining announcements are ticket details for the March 25 Japan premiere, the Seoul venue, the exact CCXP Brazil screening date, and the April 2027 TV premiere day. None should be treated as confirmed until the organizers publish them. For other announced releases, see AniNextUp’s anime release calendar and latest anime news.
