When does THE ONE PIECE come out on Netflix?

THE ONE PIECE premieres in February 2027 on Netflix. Netflix has confirmed the month, but not a specific day or time. Its current listing says all seven episodes will arrive at once, so the first season is planned as a complete drop rather than a weekly rollout.

The announced season will run for about 300 minutes in total. Netflix has not published individual episode runtimes or a region-by-region release schedule. Viewers should check their local Netflix listing closer to launch for availability and language options.

What is THE ONE PIECE about?

This new anime adaptation starts at the beginning of Eiichiro Oda’s manga and follows the East Blue Saga. It introduces Monkey D. Luffy’s dream of becoming King of the Pirates and finding the legendary One Piece treasure, along with the early adventures that bring the Straw Hat crew together.

Season 1 is set to adapt approximately the first 50 manga chapters. Netflix says the season’s endpoint will be Luffy’s encounter with Sanji at the floating restaurant Baratie. That gives the adaptation a defined starting stretch and destination, though Netflix has not announced how much time each episode will cover.

Is this a remake of the original ONE PIECE anime?

Netflix describes THE ONE PIECE as a new adaptation of the manga, beginning again with Chapter 1 and the East Blue Saga. It is a separate retelling of the source material, rather than a continuation of the long-running television anime. Netflix has not said that the original series is being replaced or discontinued.

The project is produced by WIT Studio in collaboration with Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation. The announced creative team includes director Masashi Koizuka, assistant director Hideaki Abe, series composer Taku Kishimoto, and character designers and chief animation directors Kyoji Asano and Takatoshi Honda.

Who is in the voice cast?

Mayumi Tanaka is confirmed as the Japanese voice of Luffy for THE ONE PIECE, according to the franchise’s official Japanese announcement. A complete voice cast list has not been published in the Netflix release guide. We will add other performers only when the production confirms them.

What remains unconfirmed?

Netflix has not announced the exact premiere day, individual episode runtimes, full Japanese voice cast, dubbed-language cast, or the schedule for any season beyond Season 1. The confirmed information is specific: a February 2027 Netflix premiere, seven episodes released together, about 300 minutes in total and an adaptation of the opening East Blue material.
