When does The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage premiere?
The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life premieres October 6, 2026. Crunchyroll carries the series as part of its Fall 2026 lineup in supported international territories.
What is the anime about?
Rein is an Enchanter whose support magic strengthens weapons and armor. After his guild decides his work is no longer necessary and fires him, he recalls the enchantments he previously placed on their equipment and takes those accumulated bonus points back for himself.
That unusual mechanic transforms a discarded support character into someone with enormous potential. Rather than joining another elite party immediately, Rein begins again with basic clothes and a copper sword, turning the premise into a second-chance fantasy adventure.
Where to watch
Crunchyroll lists the anime for North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and Southeast Asia. Exact release times can vary by region.
